IQ1002 Designing Healthcare Facilities to Support the Youth Population
Advanced level

Designing optimal healing environments in healthcare facilities for infants, children, and adolescents requires specific programming based on their physical and mental development. This issue of Inquiry reviews research on the impact of the built environment in healthcare settings on youth and their families. Findings are presented in the form of a research brief to provide an informative resource to aid design professionals in designing healthcare facilities that address the specific needs of youth.
